What Makes You Beautiful?
It is a beautiful summer morning and I am hanging some sheets out on the clothesline. I am imagining them filled with freshness when I doze off to dreamland tonight. Sleep isn't the only thing I am thinking of, for I have been
pondering for days about beauty. Working with young girls, college chicks and married women around their femininity and sexuality, we always encounter the question of beauty. Our culture tells us one thing. Our mothers tell us something else. Our hearts cry out to be told we are lovely. What does beauty look like? I find it interesting that the Bible does not give physical descriptions of people God calls "fair" or "comely". So just how does He define it? CONTINUED
What Makes You Valuable?
I think that God has good thoughts toward us. He says we are His children, His heirs, Beloved, apple of His eye, ransomed creation. But what makes us a thing of value? Can you say about yourself that you have the value of a diamond, ruby, or pearl? Do you think of yourself as having immense value? Should you even think of yourself in these terms? CONTINUED
